# Calendar and working location

## Use the calendar to set your working location, auto-book desks, and let colleagues know where you're going to be

The calendar is a central part of your Calven experience - it’s used to set your working location and see where your colleagues will be on any given day.

When you first start using Calven, you’ll be prompted to set your *default weekly working locations*. This will set your calendar on a recurring basis - but you can always edit your location for any given day later.

Once your working location is set, you’ll see it reflected in your calendar. Calven uses color to quickly differentiate where you’re working from:

You can also swipe down to expand the calendar and reveal your working locations for the whole month. To change your location for a given day, you either can tap the edit icon on the *selected day* in the calendar, or use the *change* button in your pass:

Using the calendar in Calven web is very similar to the mobile app. While on the *desk booking* tab, your calendar for the week will appear in the top right. In web, you can use your pass to change your working location for the selected day:

You can also use the calendar icon to view your upcoming working location for the month, and quickly select a day further in the future:
